I started seeing Hayden for a lower back injury with an inflamed disk (Things you do in the gym!!!). After only 8 weeks and some great planning by Hayden and the team I went from not being able to move to being back in the gym and back to doing what I love! While scans can help provide lots of useful information, more often than not that are not necessary. If you have already had one done, please bring the results along to your appointment. However if you are yet to have one and have been wondering whether you should, please call us beforehand. You will speak to a physiotherapist who will either recommend it is worthwhile or (hopefully) tell you to save yourself some time and money!

This question is a little like the “how long is a piece of string” question. The answer relies on a multitude of factors:

    • the expertise of your physio
    • the empathy of your physio
    • your age
    • length of symptoms
    • extent of symptoms
    • your desire to change it
    • how consistent you are with your exercises
