Daniel Ward
Dan is a lifelong Northern Beaches local with a keen interest in golf, rugby league, soccer and cricket, and has been highly involved in a variety of teams such as Curl Curl Football Club and Warringah Cricket Club. He has an extensive knowledge of the movement patterns and common injuries that occur in ball sports through his years on the field. Furthering his interest in physiotherapy, Dan has previously experienced a herniated disc with sciatica, requiring surgery and an extensive rehabilitation period which provided him with first hand experience on managing the stages of recovery from a chronic pain condition. If you want to avoid surgery, Dan is the physio you want. His past injuries and multiple degrees have shaped his deep appreciation for the resilience of the human body and its capacity to overcome adversity
Dan completed a Masters of Physiotherapy at the University of Sydney with distinction, following the completion of a Bachelors of Sport and Exercise Science at the University of Technology Sydney with distinction. These two degrees have equipped Dan with the knowledge necessary to understand painful presentations and use advanced exercise knowledge combined with manual therapy techniques to improve function and alleviate symptoms. Dan is registered under the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Body (AHPRA) and is an Australian Physiotherapy Association (APA) member.
In his free time Dan enjoys playing a round of 18 at Warringah golf course or soaking up some sun at Curl Curl Beach. He enjoys going to the gym and plays Football in the winter. You will often see him walking from Manly to Shelly with his dog or having a kick around at the local parks.
