vald Athlete strength testing
You can only improve what you measure. Get measurements like pro athletes. The VALD system is used by the Premier League, AFL and NBA.
Sydney's premier Strength assessment
If you want to get the best results from your strength and conditioning program or your rehab program, you need to stop guessing and start measuring.
To ensure you become the strongest and futureproof version of you, we perform muscle strength testing with the VALD Human Performance system.
This technology has previously only been available to elite sports teams but is now available for every patient at our Dee Why clinic.
We use force plates that you can push, pull, jump, hop and land on to measure how you move, how strong you are, and how balanced the forces that your muscles generate are.
With the VALD strength test, you can then easily track how you are progressing on your strength and/or injury recovery journey. Whether we are measuring performance goals or rehabilitation goals, we can measure where you are, how far you still need to go and what you can do to get there.
How strong are you, really?
If you don’t know where you are starting from, how do you know where you are going?
This could not be more true for a strengthening or rehabilitation program. Knowledge is power.
We have treated over 5,000+ happy clients across our clinics, and firmly believe that the VALD testing equipment is your next step towards your performance goals.
If you are recently injured, or have had an issue for a long time, and your current program or treatment plan isn’t yielding the results you want, then we firmly believe the VALD strength test will give you the insight, information and tools to get you back on the path to recovery and living the life you love.

Ross McLelland2024-12-11Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Found Fixio by chance after a muscle tear playing soccer. Could barely walk when I arrived and Dan immediately set to work getting me on the right path. He examined, eased and diagnosed the injury then gave me a super clear plan to get back to full fitness. A really smooth process with clear weekly goals, exercises that made sense to achieve the goal all supported by an online plan. Always felt in safe hands with Dan and also when Jaeme subbed in. Good people, good facilities and good value. I’m stronger now than I was pre-injury. No hesitation in recommending Dan and Jaeme at Fixio. My experience with Fixio a few years ago was also excellent, thanks to Damien, who helped me recover from a Calf Tear caused by past running and skateboarding injuries that had not been treated properly. WHAT'S THE PROCESS AND HOW DOES THE VALD SYSTEM ACTUALLY WORK?
It’s really simple actually.
When you book a VALD Strength Testing consult at Fixio you’ll be seeing one of our expert physiotherapists.
During your initial session, we’ll listen to you as you explain what you want to gain by seeing us, and then we’ll take you to our gym areas to use the VALD testing equipment.
After completing a selected number of tests, your physio will explain what the VALD testing results show, and then discuss what needs to be implemented in order to maximise your improvements.
Once you have the baseline measures, it’s ideal to reassess in 6-8 weeks for a follow up assessment to check and monitor your progress. You can then set new targets or goals to work towards, and then get started on improving your body to become fitter, faster and stronger.
Depending on your injury or niggle, we may reassess in another 6-8 weeks, repeating until your strength test results are what you need.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
VALD testing is a comprehensive performance assessment that utilises advanced sensors and force plates, such as the VALD ForceDecks, to measure an athlete’s muscular strength, power, movement quality, and limb asymmetry. By identifying areas for improvement and potential injury risk factors, VALD performance testing can assist in optimising training programs and reducing the likelihood of injuries for athletes of all levels, from elite sporting teams to recreational fitness enthusiasts.
The VALD dual force plate system consists of two force plates that measure the force exerted by each limb separately. This allows for a detailed analysis of an athlete’s limb asymmetry, balance, peak power output, and other factors. The system can be used for various tests, such as jump height assessment, isometric strength measurement, and movement testing, providing valuable data for performance analysis and training optimization
Yes, VALD performance testing can help identify potential injury risks by assessing factors such as muscular imbalances, limb asymmetry, and movement quality. For example, the VALD strength test can measure the isometric strength of neck muscle groups or evaluate the balance between the right leg and left leg during jumping tasks. By addressing these issues through targeted training and rehabilitation programs, individuals can reduce their risk of injury and improve their overall performance.
VALD testing provides valuable data and insights into an athlete’s physical capabilities, allowing coaches and trainers to create personalised training programs that address specific areas for improvement. If the testing reveals a significant imbalance between one limb and the other, targeted exercises can be incorporated to correct the asymmetry and reduce the risk of injury. Additionally, regular VALD testing can be used to track progress over time, ensuring that their training program remains effective and efficient.
The VALD system offers a wide range of strength tests to assess various aspects of performance. These include isometric strength assessments for muscle groups like the neck, jump tests to measure peak power and jump height, and movement testing to evaluate balance and movement quality. The system can also be used for isometric training, which has been shown to be an effective means of improving muscular strength and reducing injury risk. By combining these tests, the VALD testing system provides a comprehensive analysis of the physical performance, helping to inform training decisions and optimise results.
