Ruptured Achilles (99%) - non surgical approach. Dom and the team were great. 6 months in and the leg is as good as the other. Could not recommend Dom more highly.

I started seeing Hayden for a lower back injury with an inflamed disk (Things you do in the gym!!!). After only 8 weeks and some great planning by Hayden and the team I went from not being able to move to being back in the gym and back to doing what I love! I am lifting more now than I was before my injury and generally feeling great. The attention to detail and knowledge the team have is amazing and I could not be happier with the results. For me it has not just been a fix of my back but a foundational learning experience, teaching me how to move, lift and self heal when I need to. Hands down, these guys are THE BEST Physio team on the Northern Beaches!

Hayden did a great job fixing my back. I would highly recommend seeing him. I had severe lower back pain to the point where I was considering surgery. Hayden guided me through the ups and downs, with honesty and empathy, and applying the best up-to-date methods my back made a full recovery.

Been seeing Hayden for 6 months now and he’s guided me to fixing lower back and knee problems I’ve been having for years. He set out a program and what it would cost in the first consultation and has followed through, providing great knowledge and guidance along the way.

Yes! Self-management is when you manage your NDIS funding. You have the flexibility and choice to decide who supports you towards your plan goals. Fixio would love to help you.

Yes! Plan management is when a provider supports you to manage funding in your NDIS plan. These providers are known as plan managers.

Plan management is different from having the NDIA manage funding in your NDIS plan, or you choosing to self-manage your plan.

Funding under the NDIS is based on evidence of need, your goals, and evidence for the effectiveness of a given treatment approach. Your treatment plan is your gateway to getting the support you need.

The NDIS funds ‘reasonable and necessary supports’ relating to your disability to help you live an ordinary life and achieve your goals.

During your Plan meeting, your NDIS planner will gather information on what supports are reasonable and necessary for your situation by evaluating whether a support request is:

  • Related to your disability and support needs
  • Good value for money.
  • Likely to be effective and beneficial to you.

Some examples of expenses that may be approved include:

  • Support workers to help with personal care activities
  • Therapeutic supports like behaviour support
  • Aids and equipment
  • Home modifications
  • Mobility equipment.

Your NDIS Physiotherapy provider will conduct a clinic-based assessment and develop a plan tailored to your disability that will fit within your specific NDIS plan and goals.

The assessment will look at things like:

  • How you move
  • Your posture and balance
  • Fitness and strength
  • Respiratory and cardiovascular fitness
  • Diet and lifestyle
  • Current medications
  • Any limiting factors such as physical disabilities, injuries, or pain.

Fixio’s physios will use this information to develop a program that might include private exercise sessions, exercises to practice at home or lifting weights. You may also be given diet, nutrition or lifestyle advice and be supported to make changes that will help you achieve your goals.
