Jackson Foster
Jackson completed the Doctor of Physiotherapy program from Macquarie University with distinction, off the back of a Bachelor of Health Science (Exercise) from ACPE. These two degrees allowed Jackson’s curiosity of the human body thrive to allow him to understand advanced physiological concepts to help individuals out of pain and move better!
Jack is a local boy who knows the Northern Beaches well having grown up in Narraweena. His innate curiosity and love of human movement is what drew Jackson to physiotherapy. Jackson enjoyed the physical and mental challenge of boxing when he was younger and competed in amateur bouts around the Northern Beaches. After an elbow injury (which required surgery and a lot of physiotherapy!), Jackson took up bouldering and weights training instead. Jackson is registered under the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Body (AHPRA) and is an Australian Physiotherapy Association (APA) member.
Jackson has vast experience with musculoskeletal, sports and neurological injuries with his years of experience in private practice and neurological rehabilitation. Jackson also has experience working field side as an on-field medic for the Balgowlah Suns AFL team. Through this experience Jackson has experienced a wide array of clinical presentations which have allowed him to help people with pre and post-operative rehabilitation, acute and chronic musculoskeletal injuries and regain function after neurological diseases.
In Jackson’s spare time, you will find him jamming out on his bass guitar, tinkering with his car and at either the gym or the beach. Jackson eats a lot so you will probably see him anywhere there is good food (which could be anywhere)!
