Fixio is the “go-to” physio practice for dizziness, vertigo and headaches on the Northern Beaches.

Needing help with headaches, dizziness or vertigo?

While a headache coming from dehydration can be annoying, it can pale in comparison to someone who is suffering headaches that last for days or weeks. If you are living with persistent headaches, vertigo, or dizziness we know that it can feel overwhelming. The constant discomfort and disruption to daily life can take a toll on your overall well-being.

At Fixio, we understand the impact that headaches, dizziness or vertigo have on your life and have developed a complex and comprehensive toolkit to help you overcome these symptoms. We have expert Northern Beaches vestibular physiotherapists on site, ready to help you.

Can my headache or dizziness be treated?

We have been helping people take back their lives with non invasive, effective headache and dizziness treatments since 2018.

We use leading, hands-on treatment techniques and state-of-the-art equipment for you to get a premium service and effective results.

Headaches and dizziness can be “cervicogenic” (arising from the neck) in nature. With muscle spasms of the small muscles of the neck, you can experience pinching and compression of the joints and nerves near the base of the skull. This in turn can be the cause of your symptoms. At Fixio we are expert hands-on therapists. We can isolate the specific bony structures of the neck and target the right neck muscles to reduce your headache symptoms.

We start with a reducion in symptoms, but then we work to treat the cause of your symptoms and give you long term results.

What happens in a session?

Your initial examination from our physiotherapists can provide you with a thorough, accurate diagnosis to the location of your painful headache and/or migraine when scans and other tests have come back inconclusive.

Most of all, the treatment is safe, educational and precise, with no cracking movements of the neck, for you to better understand the reasoning behind your headaches and/or migraines.

Our mission is to help you take control of your headache and/or migraine without needing to continually reach for medications.

You will also be given an easy-to-follow and accessible exercise program through your mobile phone which eliminates the stress of trying to remember the exercises given to you in the clinic. (no more stick figure drawings!!!)

Headaches and migraines vary in presentation, duration, intensity and cause. Many of these are treatable by Physiotherapists and at Mediphysio we have the skills and training to treat these differently to most Physiotherapy clinics. We also work alongside GP’s and other doctors in order to offer a complete treatment for the symptoms of your headache or migraine. See below the most common types of these.

Can you help my vertigo?

Vertigo is a sensation of motion or spinning that is often described by those suffering it as dizziness. It can easily be confused with dizziness. The difference is that people suffering from vertigo feel as though they are actually spinning or moving, or that the world is spinning around them.

The most common reason we see patients for vertigo at Fixio is those suffering from BPPV (benign paroxysmal positional vertigo) where the rocks in the inner ear become stuck out of place and need assistance being put back where they should be. We have a team who are extremely talented at fast results for those with this type of vertigo
