Jaeme Last
Physiotherapist, Pilates Instructor, Strength and Conditioning Coach
Jaeme Last
Growing up Jaeme could usually be found flipping, running or kicking her way through another sport: gymnastics, dance, AFL, soccer, athletics, surf life saving – you name it. Competing at both national and state level in seven different sports, she developed an early appreciation for the human body, particularly involving health and fitness and sports performance.
Jaeme is enthusiastic about the ability movement and physiotherapy has to improve people’s quality of life, and is committed to helping people achieve their health and fitness goals, and return to the things they love to do, whether that’s high level gymnastics, or being able to play on the floor with their kids. She loves treating people of all ages, abilities and goals. Her goal is to get you better than you were BEFORE your injury.
Jaeme completed her Bachelor of Physiotherapy with a distinction average and is also an accredited ASCA Strength and Conditioning Coach, and a Clinical Pilates Instructor. She has experience in sporting and musculoskeletal settings both on and off the field including elite and club level sports, as well as in the hospital environment treating patients post-surgery, in neurological and geriatric rehab, cardiorespiratory and intensive care.
She believes in a holistic, evidence-based approach and combines biomechanical analysis, exercise prescription and hands-on manual therapy techniques to effectively treat pain and optimise function. She has a special interest in acute and chronic sporting injuries, particularly running related injuries, lower limb tendinopathies and muscle injuries.
In her free time you will find Jaeme on a run (aiming for a marathon PB (sub 3:10)!), at the beach, patting all the dogs, and making and eating yummy food.
