Ankle & Foot Physiotherapy Northern Beaches
The foot and ankle joints are extremely intricate with 26 bones and 33 joints. With so many bones, ligaments, muscles and tendons in such a small area, it is a common place for both acute trauma and overuse injuries. The foot or ankle may become painful via an overuse mechanism, such as a new training regime for running. But acute injuries such as sprained ankles are extremely common, with the incidence rate jumping up significantly for athletes who play court sports such as basketball, volleyball and netball.
At Fixio Sports Physio and Pain Solutions (the best Physio in Dee Why), we have the expert skills to treat and assess all foot and ankle injuries. We are also able to refer you on for any imaging that may be necessary (such as X-Ray and MRI) if we feel there may be a fracture or if the image will assist in our rehabilitation regime. We are also fortunate enough to have close relationships to orthopaedic surgeons on the Northern Beaches who specialise in foot and ankle injuries and can refer you onwards should there be a need. At Fixio Sports Physio, we have the expertise and knowledge to treat all foot and ankle injuries. Jaeme Last is our in house ankle expert, with a passion for running and post-operative management.

Posted on cathy mcallanTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Daniel was amazing. I came in with different injuries, and he could always explain where and why it hurt and gave me exercises to fix it. I learned alot about muscles and joints, and always felt I could call and he would see me asap.Posted on Alicia PuranTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Danny is very kind, attentive and knowledgeable in helping me recover from a very nasty foot injury so that I can be back doing all the outdoor activities I love as soon as possible. Would highly recommend him to anyone.Posted on Andrew RobbinsTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Jaeme was awesome, super knowledgeable and I really appreciated the time she spent preparing my exercise program to ensure a full recovery. Love the shockwave treatment, hurts but works so well. Jaeme is an absolute miracle worker - with her support I’ve been running injury free for almost a year, for the first time in over a decade. You’re the best!Posted on kate munroTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I've been seeing Jaeme for lower back and hip pain and she's fantastic. She's helped me recover from the initial injury with pain management and now I'm building strength with her gym program to prevent another injury. Highly recommend.Posted on Zander GeraldTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Jaeme Last has exceptional knowledge in general physio and recovery techniques. Especially running related symptoms and how to treat them effectively.Posted on Neil EdwardsTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Daniel has looked after me for my broken elbow since straight after the plaster was removed. At every appointment my progress was measured and new exercises given to allow for the slow progress that was occurring early on which is common with this type of injury. Whilst Daniel is very good it is really up to the patient to carry out the stretching and excercises. He supports and encourages you in this endeavour so that you don't give up. He can massage the effected areas, stretch the joint to ease the pain, apply acupuncture to help the muscles relax and does this with a personality that makes even a painful session not as bad. I'd recommend him to anyone in the same situation as I've been in.
