- Doctor of Physiotherapy (Macquarie University)
- Bachelor of Exercise and Sport Science (University of Newcastle)
- Australian Physiotherapy Association Member
Simon is a passionate sports physiotherapist with an extensive background in sports and strength and conditioning. He graduated from the Bachelor of Exercise and Sport Science and in a past life had the role as Head of Academy Strength & Conditioning/Sport Science with Central Coast Mariners Football Club, after having previously worked closely with the A-league squad. With a thirst for knowledge and wanting to further develop as a professional, he completed the gruelling Doctor of Physiotherapy program. He has worked at Sydney Football Club as well as with the Manly-Warringah Sea Eagles Rugby League Club. This extensive experience assisting elite athletes to maintain good health and remain on the pitch is one reason why he will effectively help you with your injuries and get you back to your best.
Simon considers all patients as ‘athletes’ – just with the goal posts realigned for the individual. He knows that the process for achieving all goals is the same; whether you are looking to return to sport in time for that important game or challenge your kids in a game of backyard cricket, he can help you to be injury free and performing at your best. Being a keen sportsman himself, Simon understands the frustration of injury and missing out on the things you love to do. His approach is to be the facilitator of your rehabilitation, making it a holistic, collaborative process. He will ensure you move better, feel better and ultimately perform better. His clinical interest areas are the shoulder, hip, knee, and ankle injuries, stemming from his experience with soccer and rugby league athletes.
Simon has always had a passion for sport – as a player, spectator and now, health professional. He currently plays touch football and soccer competitively, playing golf, and going to the gym in his spare time. As a Dee Why local Simon is also an avid surfer. Outside of sport, he loves travelling, going to the beach, camping, and socialising with friends and family.
Simon’s special interests include:
- Running injuries that came on for no apparent reason
- Muscle tears from sports such as hamstring, quads or calf tears and strains
- Ankle rehabilitation after sprains or surgery
- Groin injuries especially those arising from kicking sports such as soccer and AFL
- Lower limb biomechanics in runners and triathletes
- Knee pain that won’t go away after rest

Experience the Difference
We do not settle for the traditional approaches. Average systems get
average results. Through hundreds of hours of scientific research, testing,
retesting, we have created the FIXIO SMART System. Our system ensures
that no-one slips through the cracks by systematic assessment and ticking
everything off the list. We fix the unfixable.
