Fixio Team

- Bachelor of Applied Science (Physiotherapy) - University of Sydney
- Member of the Australian Physiotherapy Association
- Level 2 Intermediate Recreational Running Coach
Sean, a Northern Beaches local, played rugby, AFL and cricket through his school years and his early 20’s. It was positive experiences with his physiotherapists during his rehabilitation from numerous sporting injuries which led him to study physiotherapy.
Starting physiotherapy back in 2014, the last 5 years have seen Sean move towards distance running and endurance sports. He has completed several marathons and ultra marathons both on and off road, and finished races including the Six Foot Track Marathon, UTA 50, and the Blackall 100 km. With the Covid-19 pandemic leading to most mass participation events being cancelled or postponed in 2020, Sean managed to diversify his exploits and is now currently training for Ironman Cairns 2021.
Sean’s favourite thing about being a Physiotherapist is helping people reach their goals no matter how big or small. From his own experiences he believes in the human bodies ability to gradually adapt from any baseline to eventually be able to perform seemingly unimaginable tasks, and loves to help guide people through their own personal challenges.
When he’s not training, you can probably find him planning or executing a myriad of outdoor adventures with his incredible wife and drinking copious amounts of coffee.
Sean has a particular interest in treating:
- Running injuries
- Tendon/ overuse injuries
- Knee pain and injuries
- Ankle injuries
- Pre and post operative rehabilitation
