Our most experienced Fixio team member in sports physiotherapy originates from Far North Queensland. He completed the majority of his education in the Northern Territory before moving to Townsville to study a Bachelor of Physiotherapy at James Cook University. After graduating he returned to his birthplace to take up a private practice position in a rural setting which provided an excellent foundation to his career, exposing him to a wide range of injuries and conditions affecting people of all ages.

Jack’s interest in physiotherapy, and in particular sports related injuries and rehabilitation, was sparked at a young age after sustaining several major injuries as a cricketer. Diagnosed with stress fractures from fast bowling, Jack’s physiotherapist and mentor provided support and guidance through his rehabilitation enabling his eventual return to cricket as a wicket keeper/batsmen. This experience inspired Jack to become a physiotherapist specialising in sports related injuries where he can be the person supportive of others on their journey to recovery.

An active person with an interest in most sports, Jack represented the Northern Territory in Athletics, Cricket and Rugby League during his schooling years. His current sporting interests include volleyball, golf, mixed netball, and touch football, in addition to regular functional fitness sessions. Having limited access to the ocean for most of his life (with waves and without crocodiles or stingers!) Jack now makes the most of the sea change to the Northern Beaches and is becoming a keen surfer.

Dedicated to developing his knowledge as a sports physiotherapist Jack has a special interest in injuries of the joints, particularly the knee, ankle and shoulders. Jack appreciates the importance of injury management and more importantly the prevention of reinjury so that you can stay at your best.
